The Bachelor Star Lesley Murphy Got Married To Her Fianc Alex Kavanagh
Lesley Murphy, a Bachelor alum, is now married. Lesley married her fiancé Alex Kavanagh on October 14 at the Ritz-Carlton in Maui’s Kapalua, after being engaged to him for two years. The couple married on Friday, with their 20-month-old daughter, Nora, serving as the flower girl. According to Lesley,
“We are so dedicated to one other that we already feel married. But having our special day and finally being allowed to name each other husband and wife is priceless.”
Alex Kavanagh is a licensed drone operator.
Bachelor alumnus According to his LinkedIn page, Lesley Murphy’s spouse, Alex Kavanagh, is the creative director and creator of DRONEGEAR, “the first independent drone sharing platform on Instagram 2013.” Alex Kavanagh, who was born in Australia, is a CASA and FAA-certified drone pilot. His work has appeared in halftime ads for the Baseball World Series and the Football Super Bowl, as well as Emmy-nominated work on National Geographic.
Alex had worked as a carpenter before joining Drones. When asked about his job, he told Pelican.com:
“I was a carpenter and contractor who happened to take up a camera.” Which led to the desire to fly that camera remotely.”
He began his career as a freelance creative director at Western Digital, XOAR Propeller, and The Tiffen Company, among other firms, after discovering his passion, before establishing his own company in 2013. Kavanagh, 35, is also a “Creative Director at SDSU’s Centre for Unmanned Technologies and CRPAA (Certified Remote Pilots Association of America) Board member.” Alex is passionate about drones and anything related to them, but if he could do anything else, he would want to be an “astronaut” and explore space.
Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees drives him in the morning, and one slogan he uses when things become rough is:
“Continue to create. Don’t give up.”
A Look Into Lesley Murphy and Alex Kavanagh’s Marriage.
Lesley, the owner of The Road Less Traveled, LLC, started dating Alex in late 2017. The pair announced their love in January 2018 with a picture of them kissing while vacationing in Norway. The couple got engaged on February 4, 2020, and shared the news on Instagram two days later, two days after Alex proposed in Manhattan Beach, California. The pair announced that they were expecting their first child on September 27, 2020, and a year later, the Arkansas native delivered a baby girl, Nora, in February 2021.
The pair hoped to marry sooner but were forced to postpone the wedding owing to COVID-19. On October 13, the bride and groom had a luau welcome party before their destination wedding. Lesley had this to say about the party:
“It just evolved into this huge rehearsal dinner party. We wanted to thank everyone for traveling so far to attend our wedding.”
On October 14, 2022, the couple performed traditional vows in front of 71 guests in Maui. When asked about her wedding day, the bride said:
“I’ve always wanted to have my wedding outdoors. I like mother nature, and being surrounded by palm trees and the water is just breathtaking.”
Lesley initially appeared on Sean Lowe’s season of The Bachelor in 2013, however she was sent off before the hometown dates. After that, she participated in The Bachelor Winter Games, where she met and began dating Dean Unglert. Dean invited Lesley to move in with him in February 2018. However, the pair split up in April of that year. Lesley and Alex, newlyweds, are looking forward to a fresh beginning as husband and wife.
